The outfit possess what might be termed a 1990s imagination - there are moments when Cyber Sunday sounds like some enterprising soul attempting to build the future of US indie rock from leftover bits of Consolidated, TV On The Radio (who emerged in the early 2000s but only just) and Soul Coughing. Elsewhere, the bright melodic charge of “Big Bang” recalls Brooklyn’s now defunct Parts & Labor circa Receivers and Constant Future. There’s a lot packed into just over 20 minutes, all essential.”
